Speculation regarding the future of Arsenal fullback Mathieu Debuchy has surfaced following a series of tweets from Turkish journalist Gökmen Özdemir, reported by Turkish Football.
It is believed that Debuchy is set for another loan spell in Europe, this time to Turkish giants Galatasaray. This will not be the first time that an Arsenal right-back will take the plunge to Turkey, as Emmanuel Eboue did the same five years ago.

Debuchy spent the second-half of last season on loan to Bordeaux in a bid to gain fitness and game time, in order to impress Didier Deschamps ahead of Euro ’16.
As Hector Bellerin has gradually cemented his position in the Arsenal side, it is hard to see whether Debuchy will fit into Arsene Wenger’s future plans. With Carl Jenkinson waiting in the wings, Debuchy is up against 2 young attacking fullbacks for a position that seemed to be his, following the £12 million switch from Newcastle United. An injury-plagued first season saw Debuchy’s opportunities limited, consequently Bellerin has flourished.

Featuring in the pre-season friendlies Debuchy’s departure may come as a shock to some Arsenal fans as the defensive line is still lacking ahead of the new season. An experienced player, there is no reason why Debuchy cannot succeed at Galatasaray.
