By now, all the Arsenal fans would’ve hoped that Wenger brought new attacking options to North London, but unfortunately, he still hasn’t.
After being rejected by Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy, it seems like Arsenal don’t really know who to go after. The media has linked the North London club with Serie A strikers Mauro Icardi and Gonzalo Higuain, but I believe there’s another player in Italy that Arsenal should take a look at.
That player is Croatian international Ivan Perisic, who’s had a good season at Internazionale and a great European Championship alongside the Croatian national team, in which he was one of the, if not the, best player of the team.
His preferred positions are on both the left and right side on the pitch. Last season, he was involved in 13 goals in 34 matches, scoring six and assisting seven. But it’s not only the direct contribution he has to goals, it’s also his style of play that makes him an option to consider for Arsenal.

Ivan Perisic is valued at 21 million pounds, but after having such a great European Championship and still having four years remaining on his contract, there’s no doubt that Inter won’t be accepting a bid in the region of that amount. It’s far more likely that the Italian side wants at least 40 million pounds for the Croatian international.
Perisic is a really good dribbler: He’s fast, has good vision, good strength and knows how to score a goal. These are all very important traits for a winger, with Alexis and Perisic on both sides of the pitch, Arsenal could cause even more threat from the wings.

At the moment, there are no rumours that link Perisic to Arsenal, but I just think he could be an amazing player for the club. But then again, I’m not saying that the signing of the Croatian means that Arsenal should not buy a new striker, because, in my opinion, that should be the number one priority. Welbeck will be out for a couple of months, there’s no way that Giroud can play all of the games until Welbeck is back, and both Akpom and Sanogo aren’t on the level an Arsenal striker should be.
