Arsenal are locked in a desperate hunt for a top quality striker. With the season fast approaching, Arsenal only have Olivier Giroud as the main striker option and even he will reportedly miss the first few games, following his extended break from his Euro exploits with France.
Lyon striker, Alexandre Lacazette has been one striker constantly linked with the club. According to french publication L’Equipe (h/t the Mirror), the French striker has asked to leave the club this summer.
Lacazette is a target for both Arsenal and West Ham, and wants any move away sorted as soon as possible.
Previously Lyon have quoted a price of around €40 million for the striker. The French club will not want to sell one of their best players on the cheap, as they have already lost Samuel Umtiti to Barcelona.
This new revelation could well force Arsenal’s hand. Many Arsenal fans are desperate for a new striker and with Lacazette wanting a move sorted out quickly, it might just push Arsenal to capture his services.
