Having signed Granit Xhaka, Arsenal have been linked with multiple players, but as of yet, have not completed their second signing.
One such player who has been constantly linked with Arsenal, is Borussia Dortmund attacker, Henrikh Mkhitaryan. Much speculation has linked the Armenian international to Arsenal as he only has one year left on his contract. Moreover, it was reported that Mkhitaryan had rejected a new contract offer from Dortmund, thus fueling speculation that he would leave the German club with rumours in the last few day that Manchester United will also challenge Arsenal for the winger.

Mkhitaryan had a superb season for Dortmund, scoring 23 goals combined with 32 assists across all competitions according to transfermarkt.
Having lost Hummels and Gundogan this summer, Dortmund are keen to have this transfer resolved and begin the search for his replacement sooner rather than later. Due to this, German publication Bild (h/t the Express), have reported that Dortmund will give Mkhitaryan this week to decide on his future, with Sporting Director, Michael Zorc, claiming the club ‘will make a decision this week’.
If this is true, Arsenal must act quickly to add this quality signing, especially with the rumoured interested of Manchester United.
