Arsenal’s last day win against Aston Villa, combined with Tottenham Hotspur’s complete meltdown against Newcastle, meant they finished second in the league – their best finish since the 2004/05 season, but for Arsenal fans, this still was not good enough.
However, there have been positives to take out of this season. The likes of Hector Bellerin and Francis Coquelin have really flourished in the first team this term, and are looking like first team regulars for years to come. Petr Cech has also been a brick wall all season, winning the golden glove this season in the Premier League. Mesut Ozil has had another brilliant season with the most assists in the league with 19 in total.
