Arsenal confirmed a top two finish with their 4-0 win over Aston Villa on Sunday afternoon. With Tottenham Hotspur losing 5-1 to Newcastle, Arsenal jumped up a spot and once again continued their run of finishing above Tottenham.
Although at times it was quite a dull game, Arsenal came alive in the second-half. Olivier Giroud finished the season well, scoring a hat-trick. The Frenchman has had a lot of criticism this season, but this performance might just have bought him some time.
Mikel Arteta came on for his final game as an Arsenal player, while Hector Bellerin was once again solid.
