While Leicester City, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City all have strikers whom have scored 20 goals all more, Arsenal’s main striker, Olivier Giroud, sits on 12 goals in the League this year.
The French striker is currently in the midst of a 15 match goal drought. Due to this, the Mirror have reported that Arsenal will make a £30 million bid for the Liverpool striker, Daniel Sturridge, when the window opens.
Arsenal are in desperate need of a top-class striker, and although Daniel Sturridge has suffered injury problems this season, he certainly would be an upgrade over Arsenal’s current strikers- Olivier Giroud and Danny Welbeck.

Since Jurgen Klopp arrived in Liverpool, his relationship with Sturridge has at times been frosty. Although the charismatic German praised Sturridge’s performance against Villareal in midweek, he also criticized the player for not playing through minor injuries. Moreover, Sturridge did start against Villareal on Thursday night, but he was left on the bench for the first leg, while also being used as a substitute in both games against Borussia Dortmund.
After unsuccessful spells at both Manchester City and Chelsea, Sturridge has found his home at Anfield, but could be tempted to move.
Arsenal need a world-class striker, and although Sturridge does have injury problems, he could quite possibly be an excellent signing for the Gunners.
