Arsenal attacking midfielder Mesut Ozil has claimed that while he is in no rush to sign a new contract with the north London side, he could see himself retiring in England.
The German has two seasons remaining on his currently deal and joined the club in the summer of 2013 but has been subject to interest from a number of other sides, including former employers Real Madrid – having had such an impressive season under Arsene Wenger’s tutelage.

Ozil has bagged 18 Premier League assists this season and despite missing out on the Premier League Team of the Season, was nominated for Player of the Season.
Speaking to Sport-Informations-Dienst, as reported by the London Evening Standard, the 27-year-old confirmed that he is in ‘no hurry’ to put pen to paper on a new contract.
There’s no hurry. I have two years left on my contract.
We’ll see how it goes at the end of the season.
I’m not saying that I definitely must return to the Bundesliga or spend time in Turkey. But I’m not ruling it out either. Maybe I’ll finish my career in England.

Ozil is just two assists away from beating Thierry Henry’s record for the most ever assists in a league season.
