Arsenal star to leave this summer as clubs ‘talk about move’

Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny is likely to make the move to Roma next season, after the Polish international confirmed that the two clubs are discussing a transfer.

The 26-year-old has spent the entire season on loan at the Italian giants and has been their no.1 choice in goal throughout, impressing with his assured performances between the sticks.

Roma have looked to regain their place in the UEFA Champions League this campaign and after a 1-0 win over rivals Napoli which handed the title to Juventus – thanks to a magnificent performance from the Pole, their place in Europe’s elite competition is all but confirmed.

Speaking to reporters after the game, as reported by the London Evening Standard, Szczesny confirmed that the clubs are discussing the move.

Szczesny was the no.1 goalkeeper at Arsenal for a number of years before his off the field antics as well as mistakes on the pitch led to him being dropped in place of David Ospina.
