Arsenal were held to a draw at the Stadium of light, as neither the Gunners, nor Sunderland managed to find the back of the net.
The game ended 0-0, with the home side being by far the most satisfied side with the point, as it lifts them out of the relegation zone. Meanwhile, Arsenal remain in fourth place on goal difference, as a point wasn’t enough to leapfrog Manchester City into third place.
The disappointing result for Arsenal has given Manchester United a better chance of catching the Gunners up, who are currently five points behind Arsene Wenger’s men with a game in hand.
With three more games to go, the best the Gunners can really hope for now is a top three finish. In order to secure third, Arsenal will need a few better performances than the one they displayed up North on Sunday, which includes a big game on the road as Arsenal take on third place Manchester City.
So what can we learn from Sunday afternoons performance?
