Arsenal training report: Cazorla and Rosicky return, Wilshere trains

Arsenal trained at London Colney on Saturday afternoon ahead of their game against Crystal Palace on Sunday afternoon in the Premier League.

With no fresh injury concerns, a strong XI is expected to be fielded as the north London side look to close the points gap on the top two. While finishing atop the Premier League is all but impossible, the Gunners will still look to impress in front of the Emirates faithful.

There were some welcome returns at London Colney, with Arsene Wenger revealing that Santi Cazorla was back in training, with the Spaniard joined by Tomas Rosicky, who came through yet another game with the under-21s during the week.

Petr Cech trained as well, with Wenger having to make the decision about whether to start him or David Ospina in goal vs. Palace.

Per Mertesacker was involved, with many calling for his reinstatement in the side.

The likes of Mesut Ozil, Alexis Sanchez, Danny Welbeck, Aaron Ramsey and Olivier were all also involved.

As were midfield pairing Mohamed Elneny and Francis Coquelin, who are expected to continue in front of the defence together.

A surprise came in the form of Alex Iwobi, who may have a new number after his Arsenal training kit clearly donned the no.26, hinting at a possible end for the BIG45?

Jack Wilshere also continued his step up but is not expected in the squad, having not played a single game yet this season.
