Many football fans across the country will finally get their football fix this weekend, as Premier League and domestic action returns after the international break. Arsenal face Watford at the weekend in a bid to once again secure a top four position. Ahead of the norht London side’s game, Arsene Wenger has given some injury updates on a number of players.
As reported via the club’s official website, both Jack Wilshere and Tomas Rosicky are both back in full training. While recent reports suggest the former will be playing for the under-21’s next week, Arsene Wenger has confirmed that is still too early to tell, and they will assess him next week, while the Czech’s return is unknown.

While David Ospina has deputised well in goal over the last few weeks, Petr Cech has been invaluable for the team this season. The tall ‘keeper has proven his quality on numerous occasions, however, it seems this weekend has come a bit quick for him, and he will likely be just short to play against Watford.

Longer term injuries, Santi Cazorla and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, are still much further away. The Spaniard is three to four weeks away from returning after picking up an achilles injury earlier this month. The Spaniard has been sorely missed and has not featured for Arsenal since November, in a 1-1 draw with Norwich. Oxlade-Chamberlain has been given no timeline, but is “progressing well”.
The last two injuries of note, Aaron Ramsey, and Mathieu Flamini, will both, hopefully, be available for next weekend.
