Paul Merson believes that Arsenal will beat Watford by three goals to nil when the two sides meet in the Premier League this weekend at the Emirates Stadium.
When last the two teams met, it was the Hornets who left north London the happier of the two teams, knocking the Gunners out of the FA Cup in the quarter finals, meaning they would be unable to win the competition for a third season in a row.
However, after a sticky patch in all competitions, Arsenal beat Everton at Goodison Park with an impressive performance which ended in a 2-0 victory, putting them back on course to retain a place in the top four. Merson, in his weekly prediction column for Sky Sports, believes that the Gunners will comfortably beat Quique Sanchez Flores’s side this weekend.

There’s no pressure on Arsenal so they will win this game. They are the best team in the country when there is no pressure on them.
They lost the big one in the quarter-final of the cup but Watford don’t have much to play for and I can’t see them winning at the Emirates again.

Arsenal are all but out of the title race going into the weekend’s fixtures, 11 points behind leaders Leicester City and second place north London rivals Tottenham Hotspur. However, should either side lose their respective games this weekend, they could allow Arsenal to slip back into contention.
