Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere could make his comeback game for the under-21’s next Friday, when they take on Newcastle United at the Emirates Stadium.
The Mirror report that the 24-year-old is confident he can make a return to action as soon as that fixture and could make his full return to the first-team soon after, putting him in contention for a place in Roy Hodgson’s European Championship squad this summer.

Hodgson recently stated that both Eric Dier and Danny Drinkwater were behind the Arsenal midfielder in terms of their value to the England squad, giving a boost to Wilshere who could yet feature for his country.
The ex-Bolton Wanderers loan star has yet to play a single minute for the north London side this season after breaking his leg in training prior to the start of the current campaign.

Wilshere’s return will come as a huge boost to the Gunners, who are light in midfield at the moment with the likes of Aaron Ramsey and Santi Cazorla still out injured.
