Liverpool legend Dietmar Hamann believes that there is a good chance Arsenal forward Theo Walcott will not be taken to Euro 2016 with the England squad.
The 42-time capped north London star has failed to captivate this season, starting in just 15 of the Gunners’ games and despite a good start to the season, has seen his game time severely limited to substitute appearances.

Walcott’s inability to score goals or provide a direct threat in the final third has hindered his progress at both club and international level and while some, including club manager Arsene Wenger, believe that he can still be a valued member of any team, doubts have arisen over his level of importance.
Roy Hodgson is set to announce his 23 man side on 12th May and Hamann, speaking to talkSPORT, claimed that the 28-year-old has not shown why he deserves to be on the plane.

Walcott is a big loser, because I think there’s got to be a good chance that he won’t be on the plane to France. I used to be a big fan of his, but the longer I watch him, the more I go off him.
The thing Walcott had going for him in recent years was his pace.
Now this team is not short of pace. Purely for his pace, that was a big reason for him to go to tournaments, but not anymore.

Walcott returns to club football this weekend when Arsenal take on Watford at the Emirates Stadium, with the England international expected to take a bench role.
