Arsenal forward picks up dead leg and could miss Euro 2016

Arsenal star Theo Walcott has suffered a dead leg in England training and will likely miss out on their international friendly against Holland on Tuesday evening.

As reported by the Independent, the winger pulled up in training with complaints about his leg and is set to be replaced by Adam Lallana in the starting XI.

Unconfirmed reports claimed that Walcott was set to start in his 43rd cap for the Three Lions against Wesley Sneijder and co. but having picked up the injury, may not return in time to face Watford in the Premier League this weekend.

The dead leg means that Walcott could have lost his final opportunity to impress Roy Hodgson ahead of the European Championship in France this summer, with the England boss previously stating that tonight’s game could be the last chance for his players to stake their claim for a place in the squad, which is named on 12th May.

Walcott’s Arsenal teammate Danny Welbeck is expected to take a bench role on Tuesday evening, having started against Germany last weekend.
