Arsenal finally returned to winning ways at last weekend with a 2-0 win over Everton. Danny Welbeck impressed again, and was one of a handful of excellent performers for the gunners. The ‘Man of the Match’, and by far the best player on the field, however, was an Arsenal academy graduate, Alex Iwobi.
Iwobi has been one of the most impressive players in the academy over the last few seasons, and was handed the captains armband for the U21s this season. The Nigerian international has been a constant trainer with the first team and made his first team debut for against Barcelona during the week.
Iwobi’s progression and development is an indicator as to where many of our current loanees want to be. As we enter the international break, it wasn’t the most action-filled weekend for Arsenal’s loanees. With this considered lets look at the loanees who played between the period of 15th-20th March.
