Three Stars of the Match: Everton 0-2 Arsenal

It was a relatively easy day at Goodison Park for the visiting Gunners, as they put the Toffees away in a 2-0 affair, and with better finishing, that score could so easily have been doubled.

Alex Iwobi made his first Premier League start and did so with a flash as he scored the team’s second goal by creating space from his defender and finishing past Joel Robles under pressure. The looming threat of Romelu Lukaku was neutralised by the back line and the stellar pair of holding midfielders, Francis Coquelin and Mohamed Elneny. Arsene Wenger’s men did an unusually effective job of breaking down Everton’s play and turning it into quick counter-attacks, and they managed to capitalise with goals.

Everton are a talented team, so it was vital for Arsenal to take three points at their home ground, and now they are three points closer to catching up to Tottenham and Leicester.

Without further ado, here are the three stars of the match.
