# Lacazette confirms interest in Premier League move

Lyon centre forward Alexandre Lacazette has confirmed his interest in moving to the Premier League, putting a number of sides, including Arsenal and Liverpool on red alert.

The 24-year-old Frenchman has been hugely impressive for the Ligue 1 side over the last couple of seasons, with his goal scoring form opening the eyes of a number of clubs.

Lacazette himself, [as reported by *Le10Sport*](https://www.le10sport.com/football/mercato/mercato-ol-la-liste-des-pretendants-a-lacazette-226671), confirmed his interest in a potential move to the Premier League, with the north London side known admirers of the striker’s talent.

> *A departure? Yes, I think the Premier League is a very attractive for a player.*
>
> *But I know that to go, I have to play well this season. So I’m very focused and perhaps after that, I will leave. I know it’s possible to go in the Premier League and Lyon is also aware.*

With Arsenal seemingly in need of a consistent goalscorer, a move for Lacazette would make sense and has been urged by a number of experts and supporters, to compete alongside Olivier Giroud as well as Danny Welbeck and Theo Walcott.

Newcastle United had a bid of roughly £21.5m rejected for Lacazette by Lyon in January and could reignite their interest in the striker if he does decide to make the move to England.
