Barcelona’s sporting director was at the Rennes vs. Nantes game, in which Dembele scored a first-half hat-trick.
Arsenal have been aware of the Frenchman’s ability for a while now and Arsene Wenger’s French connections have recommended that the north London club send Chief Scout Steve Rowley to watch Dembele.
The teenager was only handed his first team debut at the French club in November but has now scored nine goals in 17 appearances.

Dembele has recently signed a three-year contract at the club after it was thought he might leave after expressing that he was not getting enough game time.
Arsenal will now look to battle it out with Barcelona for the player, who have expressed how “excited” they are by his talents.
