Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has revealed that goalkeeper Petr Cech and stalwart defender Laurent Koscielny will not play against Tottenham Hotspur in the North London Derby this Saturday afternoon.
The 33-year-old Czech limped off as the Gunners lost to Swansea at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday evening. The injury occured when Cech went forward for a corner and seemingly damaged his calf.
Wenger admitted, as reported by Sky Sports, that David Ospina will feature at the weekend.

Petr Cech struggled. He had a groin problem before the game, and he struggled on a little bit tonight.
He will not play on Saturday.
It’s a muscular problem, a calf problem. I don’t know how long he will be out.
I trust completely Ospina, I have no problem with that.
Koscielny is suffering from a similar problem to that of the goalkeeper, with the Frenchman missing out altogether on the game against Swansea, and the boss confirmed that the defender will not feature against Arsenal’s north London rivals this weekend.

Koscielny has a calf problem as well. He will not play on Saturday as well.

The injuries to Cech and Koscielny will come as bitter blows to the Gunners, with the two arguably the most important players the club have in the squad at the moment.
