Arsene Wenger believes Alexis Sanchez will step up and get back to his best form.
The Chilean has been nowhere near his regular level ever since coming back in late January after being sidelined due to a hamstring injury.
However, the Frenchman says Alexis is “fighting” to get back to delivering world-class performances and insists that the last thing Arsenal need is for him to lose confidence, as reported by the club’s official website.
He is just coming back from injury.
I believe that he is fighting to come back to his best.
His second half was quite positive and encouraging at Manchester United.
You don’t want him to lose confidence and he wants to fight.
The manager also discussed Gabriel Paulista, who has been trying to improve his English.
Wenger believes that this improvement will help Arsenal in the season’s closing months and Nacho Monreal’s presence is going to aid Gabriel in mastering the command of the language.
I would prefer him to have better English because in the fraction of a second sometimes someone can help you and communicate better.
He has Nacho Monreal, who plays next to him who can speak Spanish. I believe that he is working very hard on his English and is improving quite quickly and well.
Arsenal face Swansea City on Wednesday at home before traveling just across the street to meet with north London rivals Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane.
