Arsenal struggled against Barcelona and proved their vulnerability, failing to beat Hull City just days before.
However, in the Premier League, they’ve begun to gain momentum and after Danny Welbeck’s late winner against Leicester City, the Gunners sit just two points behind the league leaders.
United on the other hand, are without a win in the league since the beginning of the month, losing away at Sunderland in their last game.
They’re six points away from the top four and rivals Manchester City, and need to pick up form desperately in order to get UEFA Champions League football.
