Arsenal to listen to offers for Oxlade-Chamberlain

Arsenal are to begin listening to offers from other clubs for England international Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

The 22-year-old has faced plenty of scrutiny over the past 18 months, with the general view being that he has not improved since his move to the club at the tender age of 17.

Despite becoming a regular in the side when fit, injury problems have perhaps hindered the development of the Ox’s progress as a footballer.

According to the Independent, Arsene Wenger has grown frustrated with Oxlade-Chamberlain’s performances and is now willing to listen to offers for the winger.

The likes of West Ham United, Manchester United and Chelsea have all expressed an interest in recent months, although none have materialised.

Oxlade-Chamberlain is currently out on the sidelines after picking up a knee injury against Barcelona, where a clash with Javier Mascherano later led to the 22-year-old being substituted for Theo Walcott.
