Hull City vs. Arsenal replay date confirmed by FA

The Football Association have confirmed the official date for Arsenal’s FA Cup fifth round replay against Hull City.

The Gunners played out a 0-0 draw against Steve Bruce’s side at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday February 20th, meaning a second fixture was needed to decide who will go on to play Watford in the quarter finals.

With much delay in the decision because of potential fixture congestion, the FA finally decided on Tuesday 8th March to be the date the two sides meet again, with kick-off to take place at 7pm GMT.

The reason for the earlier kick-off of 7pm as opposed to the usual 7:45 or 8pm ties is so it does not clash with the UEFA Champions League games.

The fixture at the KC Stadium will take place just days after Arsene Wenger’s side meet north London rivals Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League, meaning squad rotation is likely to be utilised once again for the cup competition.
