Francis Coquelin thinks that the gap between Championship teams and those in the Premier League is getting smaller and smaller as the weeks and months pass.
Speaking to Arsenal Player, as reported by the club’s official website, the French stalwart admitted that there are a number of teams in the Championship that are at Premier League level.

I think there are more and more teams in the Championships that are trying to play football rather than long-ball football, I think they are getting closer to the Premier League and you can see there are a lot of teams who deserve to be in the Premier League.
Arsenal face Hull City in the FA cup fifth round at the weekend and Coquelin is pushing for a place in the starting XI after spending a number of months on the sidelines injured.
You can see it is difficult for the teams that go down for them to get back promoted. Hull City are playing really well in the Championship so it is going to be a tough one.

The Arsenal enforcer spent time on loan at Championship side Charlton Athletic in 2014 before being recalled by Arsene Wenger. The player has been a revelation since returning to the north London side.
Every time I got the chance to say a little word about Charlton, I’m doing it because I had a great time over there, I met great people there.
They gave me a little taste of playing football again, week in and week out. It was great for me. I got a lot of experience and all the lads and staff were great with me. It was a terrific experience for me and I came back here much stronger.

Having spent time in both the Premier League and Championship, Coquelin understands the threat that Hull pose to Arsenal in their hunt for a third consecutive FA cup trophy.
