Arsenal midfielder Tomas Rosicky has hailed Mesut Ozil as a ‘special talent’, amid the German’s impressive third season.
Ozil signed for the Gunners from Real Madrid for a club record fee of around £42.4m and has gone on to become a huge fans favourite, bagging himself an impressive 16 assists in the Premier League this season.
The 27-year-old has also scored on six occasions, an impressive return in England’s toughest division.
Having finally won over the pundits, experts, supporters and everyone else amongst the football world, teammate Tomas Rosicky has also had his say on the German, who, as reported by the club’s official website, claims that he is a ‘big talent’.
Mesut was always a special talent and you could see that when he arrived here.
He was out for some time last season so he couldn’t find his rhythm, but now, after playing since the start of the season, everyone here can see [how big a talent he is].
Rosicky also praised Alexis, who, alongside Ozil, the 35-year-old claims is a ‘game changer’.
Him and Alexis are the game changers. Both of them have the strength to win games, so it’s vital for the team’s title chances that they perform well.
The best thing that I like about Mesut is that he’s not forcing the final passes. We all know he has a great final ball but you can see that he only plays it when the game gives him that opportunity.
If it’s not there then he’s not forcing it and he’s combining with other team-mates instead. That’s the thing I like most about him.
Arsenal face Leicester City on Sunday afternoon knowing that a win would put them within touching distance of the league leaders, while a loss could see them fall further down the table and eight points behind to top of the pack.
