Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud has admitted that he is looking forward to playing against La Liga giants Barcelona, when the two meet later this month in the UEFA Champions League.
The Gunners drew Luis Enrique’s men after finishing second in their group behind Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich, while the defending champions finished top of theirs.
With the likes of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar the poignant members of a stunning attack, Barcelona will go into the game as the clear favourites to win the competition.
Because of this, Giroud, speaking to ArsenalFan TV, admitted his belief that the Gunners can go into the game ‘pressure free’ and play with freedom.
I’m definitely [looking forward to playing Barcelona], they’re the best team in the world at the moment and they have an amazing trio of strikers but as well as that, they have an amazing team.
We will enjoy the game and play with freedom because we are not favourites and we get to measure ourselves against the best in the world.
