Arsenal midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is subject to interest from former side Southampton.
According to reports in the London Evening Standard, the Saints are interested in taking the 23-year-old on loan for the rest of the season.
What with it being Deadline Day and all, it appears that Ronald Koeman has attempted a last-minute, rather hopeful and ambitious signing.

Although the signing is only a temporary one, it’s unlikely that Arsene Wenger would allow Oxlade-Chamberlain to leave on loan, with the Gunners’ squad depth in the wide departments benefiting from his presence.
While the England international would receive guaranteed, regular first-team football, he has no reason to leave Arsenal, having started a number of games this season and Wenger himself admitting on a number of occasions that he is a big fan of the Ox.

The Ox has had a mixed time at the Gunners during the early stages of his career with the club, struggling for form and consistency, as well as facing a number of injury issues.
