Campbell discusses his ‘most beautiful moment’ of the season

Joel Campbell has been one of the secret weapons in the Arsenal squad this season, and deservedly he got a long run in the first team due to an injury to star winger Alexis Sanchez.

After a stellar 2014 World Cup run with Costa Rica, Campbell was expected to finally get a chance to prove himself on the club level with the north London side, but he did not get much of a run. This season, he has been a revelation, and as reported by the club’s official website, he talked about his best moment in an Arsenal shirt this season.

I have scored three goals and that is important for me, for what I have been doing. The most beautiful one was against Sunderland in the FA Cup because my family was there [at the stadium] and that was very special for me.

The 23-year-old winger will likely get another chance on Saturday in the FA Cup against Burnley, and fans will hope he can conjure up another special moment then to help Arsenal get the win to get to the next round of the competition. He also talked about how the team has been performing.

I am very happy with the results so far. I have enjoyed quite a few minutes in the last few months. I am really very happy and that makes me work even more to be considered for the team.

With the support of his family, teammates, and manager, he is well on the way to success because they give him confidence, as do the fans according to the man himself.

The support of the fans is always very important for me as well. I always try to give my best on the pitch each minute I play. That is good for me and for the fans.

Growing in confidence, it is now easy to see how Campbell was able to fill the big shoes that Alexis left during his spell on the sideline. Thrilling his teammates, manager, family, and fans in the process, the wide man looks ready to have a long future in north London if he keeps producing great moments like the one he described.

The Costa Rican has provided impressive passes, trickery and has added conviction to his game in the final third.
