Three Stars of the Match: Arsenal 0-1 Chelsea

In one of the worst games in terms of skill that Arsenal supporters have seen all season, the hosts fell to 13th-placed Chelsea by a score of 1-0 after a physical match. Arsene Wenger’s side had control of the game to some degree until centre back Per Mertesacker picked up a red card and was banished in the 18th minute. Moments after that, Wenger took off Olivier Giroud and replaced him with Gabriel. Just five minutes later Diego Costa netted the lone goal of the match due.

The one positive that fans will see from this match is the fact that Francis Coquelin is back in training, which is greatly needed considering the performance of Mathieu Flamini, which was one of the worst individual performances all season. Additionally, this match saw the return of star winger Alexis Sanchez, which is a huge boost.

Here are the three top performers from the match.
