Arsenal forward Olivier Giroud has praised Mohamed Elneny for being a ‘complete player’ and believes he will suit the Premier League well.
Elneny joined the Gunners on Thursday morning for a reported £5m and has already been involved in training with his new teammates.
Identified as a box to box midfielder, Arsene Wenger took it upon himself to sign the 23-year-old because of the number of injuries the Gunners have suffered thus far this season.
The likes of Jack Wilshere, Santi Cazorla and Francis Coquelin are all out injured for the long-term, with Mikel Arteta recently returning to first-team action.

Speaking on his new teammate, Giroud admitted to Arsenal Player that he is so far impressed with what he has seen of Elneny.
I’ve trained with him and he’s a good player, very talented but first of all he is a good guy – I think he will settle well into the team.
I think he’s basically a box-to-box midfielder, so he can attack and defend, run a lot and has good power and technique. He is quite a complete player.
It always takes time to adapt to English football because there is a lot of intensity, it is very physical and even tactically [you must get used to it] – but I think Premier League football will suit him well.

Elneny will likely be included in the squad for the north London side’s trip to the Britannia Stadium on Sunday, where they take on Mark Hughes’ revitalised Stoke City side.
