Five Things We Learned: Liverpool 3-3 Arsenal

After what was described as one of the best games of the season, it looked like the Gunners were about to head home from Liverpool with all three points from the game in the bag. However, Joe Allen equalised for Liverpool with only minutes to go.

Arsenal had come back from behind twice in the game, both in the first half, until Olivier Giroud finally put the visitors ahead, making it 3-2, after a deadly finish after turning brilliantly away from former Gunner Kolo Toure, and sending the ball far past Simon Mignolet.

Roberto Firmino put Liverpool ahead after only ten minutes, before Aaron Ramsey finished cleverly to equalise four minutes later. Firmino grabbed his second of the night for the Reds soon after, and again Arsenal equalised in quick succession, this time from a corner, turned in at the near post by Giroud.

The north London side were so close to extending their lead at the top of the table, but instead are level on points with Leicester after they won at Tottenham.

After a disappointing result in the end, what can we learn from Arsenal’s dramatic 3-3 draw at Anfield?
