Arsenal linked with move for Ighalo

Arsenal are, according to the Daily Mail, reportedly considering a January move for in-form Watford striker Odion Ighalo after the Nigerian forward’s performances have attracted the league leaders’ attentions towards him.

The Hornets forward has been in simply incredible form in his debut season at the highest level of English football, scoring a highly impressive 14 goals for surprise package Watford so far this campaign.

With Arsenal looking to bolster their attacking options as they look to strengthen their pursuit of the Premier League title this season, it comes as no surprise to see Ighalo identified as one of the Gunners’ targets given his excellent form alongside Watford captain Troy Deeney, who denied reports of his link to Arsenal in recent days.

The Gunners have been linked with Javier Hernandez and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in recent days, but a more realistic transfer for the north London side at this stage of the season could come in the form of Ighalo, although it seems unlikely he’ll be allowed to leave.
