Isaac Hayden could yet see out his season-long loan at Hull City, despite being recalled by Arsenal at the beginning of the month.
The Championship club expected Hayden to find another club to progress his development with greater playing time, having found opportunities hard to come by at the Tigers since Jake Livermore’s return.
Fulham were looking at his situation with a view to agreeing a loan deal but that has stalled since new manager Slavisa Jokanovic took over, opening the door for a return to the KC Stadium.

According to the Hull Daily Mail, Hayden has been training with Hull in the build up to their FA Cup game this weekend.
Steve Bruce confirmed that he wants the youngster to be a part of his team for the remainder of his loan deal for the season.
It’s not done and dusted with Isaac. A move for him stuttered and has fallen through at the moment.
He wants to play, the kid, and I can understand that. It’s frustrating for him because he wanted to come and play. That opportunity hasn’t progressed and as far as we’re concerned he stays with us. We’ve got an agreement with Arsenal that if a club can guarantee him first-team football then the boy wants to play.
Hayden has not started a league game for Hull since September when Livermore returned to the team – granted special consideration and consequently not receiving a longer drugs ban. Opportunities were afforded more in the Capital One Cup but Bruce would like to keep Hayden to boost his squad ahead of a promotion push.
