Crowley admits he wants second loan

Arsenal youngster Dan Crowley has revealed his intentions to break into the Gunners’ first-team after enjoying a hugely successful 2015 on both a personal and international level.

The 18-year-old gained first-team experience in pre-season with Arsenal, featuring in their friendly tournament in Singapore as well as captaining his under-18 side in the FA Youth Cup. Crowley also cemented his place in the England under-19’s team after a string of excellent displays.

However, Crowley stood out when he was on loan at Barnsley last year, featuring 11 times for the Tykes and scoring his first ever senior goal against Premier League outfit Everton.

I want to go out on loan to get more experience. I think it will benefit me in the future and will get me closer to the first team here at Arsenal.

To be out on loan playing first-team football it is very different. It was a good experience – I learnt a lot about myself, a lot about the game and what it is like to be in a first-team environment.

Despite not featuring in the Arsenal squad yet, Crowley remains optimistic about his chances in the near future as he looks to make an impression on Gunners boss Wenger.

Hopefully, I will get my chance soon – I just have to see when the boss wants me. I’m back at home with my friends and top players.
