Arsenal begin the new year at the Emirates with Newcastle the visitors to north London.

The Magpies’ last win came on their last visit to the capital to face the Gunner’s arch-rivals Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane, snatching a 2-1 win on the 13th December.

Arsenal meanwhile, are top of the pile following a comfortable 2-0 win against Bournemouth and Leicester City and Manchester City playing out a 0-0 draw.

Arsene Wenger tinkered with his side against the Cherries and will do so again against Steve McLaren’s side.
