Arsenal forward Olivier Giroud has admitted that he believes that north London rivals Tottenham Hotspur are genuine title contenders this season, with Mauricio Pochettino’s men are sitting pretty in 4th place after a good first half to the campaign.
Spurs have been in fine form this season and will end the year in a good position, just four points off the Gunners in top spot.
With Spurs so close to Arsenal, Giroud has been the latest to sing the praises of Pochettino’s side in a recent interview with French newspaper L’Equipe – much to the displeasure of Arsenal fans.
There is Leicester, who do not stop. Manchester City will be there and we will have to deal with Tottenham who are coming back strongly. We are first, we are happy even if the numbers could be better. From now on, we are going to fight to stay on top.
France international Giroud has been in good form this season, bagging ten goals in 19 games in the Premier League for top of the league Arsenal.
