Arsenal are reportedly readying a swap deal involving Joel Campbell and in-demand Celta Vigo star Nolito.
The 29-year-old has scored eight times for Celta this season, racking up five assists on the way in a total of 15 appearances. A left winger by trade, Nolito is also said to be attracting strong interest from Catalan giants Barcelona, who happen to be his former club.
As per Spanish outlet Don Balon, Arsenal are leading the march in acquiring the Spaniard’s signature and Arsene Wenger’s men are willing to offer Costa Rican forward Campbell, plus a certain sum of money to acquire the services of the former Valencia and Benfica wide player.
The move to rid Campbell comes as a surprise, considering the players turn of fortune at the Gunners this season.
Nolito joined Celta Vigo back in 2013 from Jorge Jesus’ Benfica and last season, the Spaniard created 96 goalscoring chances, which was the fourth most across the top European leagues and the highest in the La Liga.
