Five Things We Learned: Arsenal 2-0 Bournemouth

Arsenal had a second bite at the cherry on Monday to leapfrog Leicester to the top of the table, after their abysmal display at Southampton on Boxing Day, and they did just that with a 2-0 win over AFC Bournemouth, although they do leave the Foxes with a game in hand.

Gabriel Paulista started over Laurent Koscielny and partnered up with Per Mertesacker at the back, and the Brazilian took his chance by netting his first goal for Arsenal from a Mesut Özil corner, making it 1-0 to the Gunners, before the German himself created a very clever goal in the second, picking up the ball deep in own half, playing around with it like he does until it fell to Olivier Giroud on the edge of the box, who dinked it beyond the Bournemouth defence, finding Özil who neatly slotted it into the net.

So, after another Özil assist and back to winning ways, what can we learn from the table-topping performance?
