Former Manchester United midfielder Andrei Kachelskis has urged Arsenal target Alexander Kokorin to move to North London next month.
According to The Telegraph, Arsenal have offered just under £5m for the Dynamo Moscow forward who has struggled so far this season.
Kanchelskis believes the 24-year-old can progress at Arsenal and will not suffer the same fate as Andrei Arshavin. The former Manchester United player thinks Arsenal is the best option for Kokorin and thinks he should work really hard to try and play in a team of the calibre of Arsenal.
“Kokorin should jump at the chance to leave Russia and go to that country,” Kanchelskis said. “The Russian championship is very weak and Alexander can progress at Arsenal.
“Arsenal are the best option for Alexander’s career,” Kanchelskis added. “If he is prepared to work a lot, he will not have any problems.
“He will not be like (Arsenal’s former Russian forward) Andrei Arshavin and will become a top class forward for the London club.”

Arsenal could use some reinforcements for their attack since Olivier Giroud and Theo Walcott are currently their only fit strikers, with Danny Welbeck suffering a setback and Joel Campbell filling in for injured Sanchez on the wing.
Kanchelskis encouraged Kokorin to join Arsenal since they have the same formation as Dynamo Moscow. According to the former Manchester United star, Kokorin would flourish under Wenger and language won’t be a barrier for him.
“I also went to England when I was young without knowing the language,” Kanchelskis said.
“I was lucky. Manchester United played in a 4-4-2 formation just like my former club Dynamo Kyiv.”
“Like Dynamo Moscow, Arsenal play in a 4-2-3-1 formation, while Wenger trusts young players and is able to develop their talent,” the 46-year-old added.
Dynamo are yet to make a comment on Kokorin’s potential move but according to sports outlet Sport Express, the club want to keep him and have offered him a new contract.
