With the January transfer window fast approaching, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is very much on the lookout for players that can boost his side to help them challenge for the Barclays Premier League title.
Jack Pitt-Brooke of The Independent is reporting that the Frenchman may be monitoring the situation of promising Coventry youngster James Maddison. The 19-year old has featured 23 times for Coventry, scoring two goals.
Maddison has been in sterling form for Coventry this season and has helped them to fourth in League One, leaving them just two points off of an automatic promotion spot.

The Gunners may well need Maddison’s signature, not only for this season but the future as well. With players such as Thomas Rosicky, Mikel Arteta and Mathieu Flamini all coming to the end of their Arsenal careers, Maddison may very well be the player that takes up the mantle with the Gunners, much like current Tottenham star Dele Alli has at Tottenham since his move from MK Dons.
Any move this January for the player may very well result in an immediate loan back to Coventry for the rest of the season.
Liverpool are also said to be in the race to sign the youngster.
