Player Ratings: Arsenal 2-1 Manchester City

Arsenal came up against title rivals Manchester City in arguably both teams’ biggest game of the season so far. Three points were crucial for both as they looked to close the gap on surprise league leaders Leicester City. Arsenal came out 2-1 victors after Theo Walcott gave the Gunners the lead with a magnificent goal. A sweetly tucked finish from Olivier Giroud followed, giving the north London side a 2-0 lead going into half-time. A consolation goal from Yaya Toure late in the second half gave Arsenal a nervy end to the game. Despite this, the Gunners held on and took all three points.

It was a great performance from Arsenal, which will only boost their confidence going into the festive period. Here are how the players rated against Manchester City.
