Player Ratings: Arsenal 3-1 Sunderland

After failing to win any of their last three Premier league games, it was crucial for Arsenal to grab all three points against a resurgent Sunderland side. The Gunners had the perfect of starts after a well-threaded ball from Mesut Ozil found Joel Campbell, who finished calmly. However, Sunderland equalised with the most unlikely of sources – an Olivier Giroud own goal. In what was a strange game from the Frenchman, he then put the Gunners back ahead with a precise header at the near post. Aaron Ramsey then scored the third to gain all three points for the Gunners. A tough 3-1 win, but an important one.

Arsenal will hope for the exact same result in midweek, with a crucial game against Olympiacos coming up on Wednesday. Here are how Gunners rated against Sunderland.
