Norwich City goalkeeper John Ruddy has praised Arsenal shot-stopper Petr Cech ahead of the Gunners’ trip to Carrow Road on Sunday afternoon.
The 33-year-old joined Arsenal from Chelsea in the summer and has been in fine form for the north London club this season; proving that he is still one of the best in the Premier League.
This is despite a few fans being sceptical about Cech given that he had such little game time last season. Cech was forced to play second fiddle to Belgian ‘keeper Thibaut Courtois in the previous campaign at Chelsea.

However, Ruddy has lavished praise for Cech and what he has achieved in his career.
He is one of the best ever. Absolutely.
What he did over a number of years and his consistency levels are phenomenal.
For Arsenal to add a player of that calibre to their group it is no surprise they are doing as well. That is not disrespectful to the other keepers but I think John Terry said it when he left that he is worth 10 to 12 points a season and he has proved that already this season. Over the years he has been one of the best. It is great to come up against someone like him.
The one-time capped England international once had the chance to train alongside Cech when Chelsea were interested in signing him a few years back, as were Arsenal. Yet, Norwich rejected bids for their star player and he was happy to stay in Norfolk.
Obviously there was a chance in the past to work with him and if you had said when I first joined Norwich I would have a substantial bid from a club who went on to become the champions I doubt anyone would have believed you.
Arsenal face Norwich City at Carrow Road on Sunday afternoon, with kick-off taking place at 16:15 BST.
