Ibrahimovic – Vieira was a monster on the pitch

Iconic PSG forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic has claimed that former Arsenal midfielder Patrick Vieira was one of the best players that he ever played with.

Now 34-years-old, the Swedish international has played for some of the best clubs in the world, with some of the best players. Yet, he highlighted the now-retired Vieira was one of the best.

For me, (Patrick) Vieira, is one of the best players I ever played with.

The guy was a monster when I played and he (taught) me a lot outside and inside the pitch.

The pair both played together in the Serie A with Inter Milan, which makes the statement even more impressive given that Vieira’s best days were somewhat behind him at that point in his career.

Vieira made his mark in football at Arsenal, amassing over 400 appearances for the Gunners over a nine-year spell. He is currently the boss of MLS side New York City FC.
