# Henry – Ozil must do more to be considered world-class

Arsenal legend Thierry Henry believes that in order for Mesut Ozil to be considered a world-class footballer, he must find himself on the end of the ball more often.

The Gunners midfielder has scored on just three occasions this season – once in the Premier League against Manchester United and twice in the UEFA Champions League, when Arsenal defeated Bayern Munich 2-0 and Dinamo Zagreb 3-0 respectively.

However, Ozil has continued his fine record of picking up assists and has managed 11 already this season, putting him just nine behind the record that Henry set in 2002/03 with 20.

Despite being considered the form player of the Premier League thus far this season, Henry [claims that Ozil must score more often](https://metro.co.uk/2015/11/26/mesut-ozil-needs-to-do-more-than-assist-to-be-world-class-says-arsenal-legend-thierry-henry-5527154/) if he wants to be considered in the top bracket of players.

> *Today the difference with Ozil is that he is getting in the box.*

> *He scores there, but what people argue and have a problem with is that he hasn’t had a desire to get in the box.*

> *If you want to be a world-class player you can’t just be an assist man, but today he showed elements that he can do it that he can produce.*

Ozil will have further chance to prove the Arsenal legend wrong this weekend when Arsenal face Norwich City at Carrow Road.
