Five reasons why Arsenal are better than they were last season

Arsenal’s 2015/16 Premier League campaign has been a marked improvement on the 2014/15 one thus far.

To include the UEFA Champions League in that equation would require a very contrasting statement, however, second in the league on goal difference to Manchester City represents a positive comparison with the same stage last season.

Whether this is due to the competitiveness of the league giving no easy games and the chance of anyone beating anyone, the failure of one team to be so dominant – as Chelsea were 12 months ago – or the stark reality that the league just isn’t that good, is up for debate.

When all is said and done, the Premier League is reading pretty for Gunners fans and credit has to go to Arsene Wenger for improving his team. Changes have been made and the progress is reaping rewards.

Here are five things that are making the Gunners title contenders this season which weren’t evident last season.
