Arsenal superstar Alexis Sanchez is close to agreeing a new five-year deal with the club, according to reports.
The contract will reportedly be worth £155,000-a-week and it is believed that after a month of discussions between the club and the player’s representatives, a deal has finally been sealed.
Alexis is currently on a reported £130,000-a-week contract but after an impressive debut season and form which has carried on in the same vein this campaign, the Chilean has become a firm fan favourite.
The 26-year-old former Barcelona winger will enter the final two seasons of his current contract at the beginning of the summer and Arsene Wenger wants to ensure the deal is tied up before the end of the current campaign.
Mesut Ozil will also be entering the final two years of his contract and is reportedly in talks with the club to renew his £140,000-a-week deal, a wage which sees him top of the pile in terms of who is the highest earner at the club.
