Promising Nigerian midfielder Kelechi Nwakali has expressed his ambition to play for Arsenal, after claiming that he would ‘love to play’ for the Gunners.
In recent days, there has been plenty of speculation surrounding the young midfielder, with the heavyweights of English football circling in an attempt to bring Nwakali to their club such as Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City and of course, Arsenal.
Throughout the under-17s World Cup, Nwakali turned in excellent performances for the Super Eagles, which earned him a lot of attention from across the world as he displayed his true qualities for his country, helping Nigeria to retain their worldwide status as under-17 champions.
For Nwakali, it would not be the first time that he has received recognition and interest from big English clubs, as it was just this year that the Nigerian was given the opportunity to impress by Manchester City who gave him trials at the club but has admitted that he loves how Arsenal play.
I will love to play for Arsenal. They are their Premier League club I will like to play for them because they play the best football in the world.
Given the high praise that Nwakali has given to Arsene Wenger’s men, it is hard to look for a destination beyond the Emirates for the young man.
